Getting involved in research isn't always obvious. Many fields of education (including STEM) have their own hidden curriculum, a collection of “implicit academic, social, and cultural messages,” “unwritten rules and unspoken expectations,” and “unofficial norms, behaviors and values.” This section of the PathLab Initiative is meant to dismantle those barriers by providing program lists, application resources, and practical guidance for anyone interested in furthering their involvement in STEM.
